In this role, under the guidance of a registered nurse, you will be responsible for the vigilant observation of patients who may be susceptible to potential risks such as falls or self-harm. Your primary focus will be to ensure a secure and hygienic environment while assisting patients with their daily living activities, unless their condition poses foreseeable health risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive verbal updates from the nursing staff regarding the patient's care requirements, medical history, communication barriers, and any specific considerations (e.g., dietary restrictions, safety alarms).
- Maintain a constant presence in the patient's room to ensure uninterrupted visual monitoring. You will not leave the patient unattended unless directed by the nursing staff.
- Follow the nurse's instructions concerning mobility restrictions and the appropriate actions to redirect the patient when necessary.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of a nursing assistant training program.
- At least one year of relevant experience in a healthcare setting.
