Job Summary

The Caregiver Specialist provides essential personal care and community living supports to individuals with intellectual developmental disabilities, severe mental illness, and/or co-occurring diagnoses. This role involves assisting with daily living tasks, promoting independence, and fostering positive relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with mobility, activities of daily living, communication, and health management
  • Support community participation, social networking, and vocational goals
  • Monitor and ensure safety, prevent crises, and provide crisis intervention
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with individuals served, families, and community professionals
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Michigan driver's license
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and become certified in CPR/First Aid
  • Basic computer skills and dedication to assigned duties
