Position Overview:

The Industrial Maintenance Electrician is responsible for the implementation and management of maintenance tasks, preventative upkeep, and repair of production machinery, as well as enhancements to the facility.

This role may encompass electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, hydraulic, and mechanical systems depending on qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out installation, servicing, and repairs to infrastructure, including but not limited to: doors, windows, structural supports, guard rails, fencing, air handling systems, exhaust units, equipment foundations, and pavement.

Troubleshoot and repair various machine control components, power transmission systems, and hydraulic mechanisms.
Install and configure manufacturing machinery.

Ensure optimal operation of mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance tasks on machining lathes, mills, motors, pneumatic tools, and production machinery; adhering to diagrams, sketches, operational manuals, manufacturer instructions, and engineering specifications; diagnosing malfunctions.

Identify root causes of issues through effective troubleshooting techniques to ensure permanent repairs are executed, minimizing costly downtime.

Utilize all necessary hand and power tools, including but not limited to: drills, saws, torches, jacks, as well as ladders, cranes, lifts, and other maintenance apparatus.

Perform welding and fabrication of custom components or restore equipment to its original condition.
Maintain clear communication with supervisors and production teams regarding equipment repair status and readiness for production.
Ensure accurate record keeping, documentation, and information management for machinery, equipment, and facility files.

Manage equipment, parts, and supply inventories by monitoring stock levels; anticipating necessary equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; and verifying receipt.

Operate and maintain a variety of tools and equipment.
Must be knowledgeable about the scope and limitations of state licensing requirements in Millwright and Electrical work.
Additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
Basic computer proficiency.

Proven ability to adhere to all established safety protocols, including but not limited to personal protective equipment, safety lockout/tag-out procedures, confined space regulations, and elevated work area safety.

Experience with all required hand and power tools, including but not limited to: drills, saws, torches, and jacks, as well as ladders, cranes, lifts, and other maintenance equipment.

A combination of Electrical and Millwright experience, knowledge, or licensing is required.

Electrical Expertise:
Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical installations and equipment effectively.

Demonstrated experience in electrical and/or electronic and mechanical maintenance, including motors, controls, power supplies, AC/DC theory, power distribution, PLCs, hydraulics/pneumatics, lubrication, and power transmission systems.

Oregon LME, PJ, PS, or J Electrical license required (or actively in process).

Millwright Skills:
Experience in an industrial maintenance or millwright environment, with a working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems preferred.
Requires familiarity with blueprints, technical manuals, and their applications, including electrical and mechanical diagrams, gauges, meters, calipers, and other measuring instruments.
A high school diploma or GED is preferred.

Work Schedule:
Weekday Night Shift (4x10)
Weekend Graveyard Shift (3x12) - $2.50/hour shift differential
Overtime based on business needs.
