Adelante Healthcare is seeking a highly motivated and experienced WIC Community Nutrition Educator Float I to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing nutrition education and counseling to clients, promoting healthy eating habits, and supporting breastfeeding initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct health appraisals and nutritional assessments to determine specific nutrition counseling needs
- Provide education and counseling to clients on healthy eating habits, nutrition, and wellness
- Support breastfeeding initiatives and refer clients to registered dietitians as needed
- Complete required documentation and issue drafts and completion of issuance with all required documentation and signatures
- Assume responsibility for routine office matters, including client scheduling, filing, and security
- Manage customer service complaints and escalate to Regional Coordinator as needed
- Travel to other sites as requested or needed
- Certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated external defibrillator (AED) training
- Valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety
- High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution
- Documented excellence in customer service and ability to interact with clients from beginner to advanced levels
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and relevant program-related applications
- Competency in working with people of various cultures
- Valid Arizona driver's license and current auto insurance
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and prioritize tasks
- Four-year college degree in Nutrition or Registration as a Dietetic Technician with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
- Demonstrated experience as an advocate for healthcare or human rights
- Fluency in a language in addition to English (Spanish preferred)
