Job Summary

The Kansas City Royals Baseball Club LLC is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sports Nutrition Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our sports nutrition team, you will be responsible for providing expert nutrition guidance to our minor league players, supporting their performance efforts and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement personalized nutrition plans for players, taking into account their individual needs and goals.
  • Collaborate with our Director of Sports Nutrition and Minor League Nutrition Coordinator to design and execute nutrition protocols for rehab players.
  • Provide education and training to players on optimal nutrition strategies, including meal planning, hydration, and supplement use.
  • Conduct regular assessments of player dietary habits and energy balance to ensure optimal performance.
  • Work closely with our strength and conditioning department to align nutrition goals with body weight and body composition objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest scientific research and trends in sports and medical nutrition, applying this knowledge to inform our nutrition programs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in nutrition or dietetics, with a registered dietitian (RD) credential or on-track to acquire it.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a professional, private, or collegiate sports nutrition setting.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and counseling skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on confidentiality and discretion.
  • Physical ability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
