Job Title: Field Service Technician

EAM-Mosca Corp., a leading provider of end-of-line automated packaging machinery and consumable strapping solutions, is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to support our advanced strapping systems in the Columbus, OH region.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide on-site and remote support for a suite of strapping solutions, including stand-alone and automated machines integrated into our customers' conveyance systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and commission equipment to ensure reliability and high customer satisfaction.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, and emergency repairs on all EAM equipment.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems using systematic thinking and test equipment.
  • Work closely with Mosca Engineering to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Generate service reports detailing work performed, parts provided, and solutions implemented.
  • Communicate daily with area service managers to develop schedules and travel itineraries.
Requirements:
  • Advanced understanding of machines and their systems, including pneumatic, hydraulic, and electromechanical components.
  • Basic experience with control systems using Allen Bradley, Siemens, and B&R PLCs.
  • Electromechanical experience with conveyance systems, sensors, electric motors, and their interactions.
  • Ability to use a multimeter, perform point-to-point testing, and read electrical schematics.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative on a regular basis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally through written and verbal media.

Experience and Education:
  • Minimum 3 years of field or plant equipment maintenance experience.
  • Corrugated industry experience a plus.
  • Mechanical understanding of strapping machines, Mosca preferred.
  • High school diploma.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Solid mechanical/electrical background.
  • PLC experience preferred.
  • Associates degree a plus.
