Job Summary

Kforce Technology Staffing is seeking a highly skilled I&C Project Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Instrumentation and Controls team, you will be responsible for developing I&C scopes of work for infrastructure projects, including modifications to existing systems or addition of new systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop I&C scopes of work for infrastructure projects, including modifications to existing systems or addition of new systems.
  • Perform field verification of I&C system drawings and field investigations to develop accurate scope of work requirements.
  • Participate in project reviews to ensure designs are meeting the scope of work requirements.
  • Provide final drawing and document reviews, including construction redlines, to confirm system sustaining drawings and documents are updated with project revisions.
Requirements
  • Solid background in PLC programming, troubleshooting, and control panel systems design.
  • Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) experience, including software development of HMIs.
  • Understanding of discrete and analog control signals and ability to read and interpret proportional, integral derivative (PID) controllers.
  • Ability to implement field verification, create field notes, read and interpret drawing and wiring schematics, and update schematic drawings.
  • Understanding of electrical code requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals, and develop scopes of work.
Preferred Skills
  • Control Systems Professional Engineer License (P.E.) or Fundamentals of Engineering (F.E.) with at least 4 years of instrumentation and controls experience.
  • Emerson RX3i platform experience.
