Residential Care Support Specialist

Position Overview:

The Residential Care Associate plays a vital role in ensuring the well-being of residents within a care facility. This position is classified as NON-EXEMPT under the Fair Labor Standards Act, which means that compensation will adhere to the established wage and hour guidelines.

Reporting Structure:

This role reports directly to the Residential Care Facility Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform all assigned shift duties with diligence.
  2. Prioritize the safety and security of residents and fellow staff members.
  3. Observe resident behavior and promptly report any significant changes or concerns.
  4. Complete tasks and projects as assigned by the Manager.
  5. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards, which may include:
  • Sweeping
  • Mopping
  • Dusting
  • Linen Changes
  • Clothes Washing
  • Vacuuming
  • Organizing
  • Stocking of Goods
Administer medications appropriately once certified and ensure accurate documentation.Accurately complete shift logs and provide comprehensive updates to oncoming staff.Communicate effectively with medical personnel regarding medication and appointments for residents.Assist residents with community outings and transportation needs.Support kitchen staff with meal preparation and service.Report any incidents involving residents or staff to the Manager immediately.Ensure accurate timekeeping and utilize the time and labor system for reporting shifts.Notify the Manager of any maintenance issues observed during shifts.Perform additional duties as required.

Work Schedule:

This position typically requires availability for shifts from Thursday to Sunday, 11 PM to 7 AM.
