Position Overview

Hazen and Sawyer is looking for a skilled Engineer with 5-10+ years of expertise to enhance our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the planning and design of water, wastewater, and stormwater conveyance systems.

Key Responsibilities

The selected individual will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing the planning, design, construction, and rehabilitation of various pipeline sizes and types.
  • Implementing trenchless technology solutions.
  • Conducting pipeline condition assessments and prioritization.
  • Performing sewer system evaluation surveys and inflow/infiltration studies.
  • Utilizing hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software, including InfoWorks and SWMM-based applications.
Additional Duties

Responsibilities will also include project management, drafting assessment and design reports, executing design calculations, conducting hydraulic analyses, preparing construction documents, and supporting construction management and commissioning activities. Fieldwork and site visits may be necessary throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a minimum of a B.S. degree in Environmental, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering, with the capability to secure a P.E. license in Florida within six months of employment. An MS degree is advantageous. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role.
