The safety of our children is of utmost importance to us. As a crossing guard, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of children and pedestrians at designated crossings near schools or other high-traffic areas. This position requires a responsible attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to maintain order and safety during busy periods.

Essential Functions:

  • Safely guide children and pedestrians across designated intersections or crosswalks.
  • Monitor traffic flow and wait for a safe gap in vehicles before signaling pedestrians to cross.
  • Use hand signals, stop paddles, and verbal commands to direct traffic when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with traffic and safety regulations at all times.
  • Report any traffic violations or safety concerns to local law enforcement or school authorities.
  • Assist children and pedestrians in crossing streets during inclement weather or hazardous conditions.
  • Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor when interacting with students, parents, and drivers.
  • Attend periodic training sessions and meetings related to crossing guard duties and safety protocols.

Qualifications:
