Tenure-Track Faculty Position in Biology

Louisiana Tech University is seeking a dynamic and innovative individual to join our faculty in delivering excellence in teaching, research, and service.
Key Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in topics related to cell biology, molecular biology, or physiology, including developing new courses at both the undergraduate and graduate level.
- Establish and maintain a research program in areas of health or biomedical sciences with a commitment to securing external funding and publishing in peer-reviewed journals.
- Advise and mentor undergraduate and graduate students in their academic and professional development, including research projects and career opportunities.
- Contribute to the department's service mission through active involvement in recruiting activities, programmatic support, and committee work.
- Collaborate with colleagues within the department and across disciplines to foster a dynamic and inclusive academic environment.
- Ph.D. in Biology or a closely related field, with a focus on Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, or Physiology.
- Established record of research productivity, including publications in peer-reviewed journals and a strong potential for securing external funding.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a diverse academic community.
- Willingness to contribute to the department's service mission through participation in recruiting efforts, programmatic support, and committee work.
- Demonstrated expertise in teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in areas of cell biology, molecular biology, and health sciences.
- Experience in advising and/or mentoring undergraduate and graduate students.
- Postdoctoral experience in a relevant field is highly desirable.
