About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team at the County of Marin. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our employees and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform custodial duties, including cleaning and disinfecting restrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, and removing trash and recyclables.
  • Operate various cleaning equipment, such as floor buffers, vacuums, and extractors.
  • Conduct security checks of buildings and report any issues or concerns to management.
  • Assist with special events and projects as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year of recent full-time custodial experience in commercial buildings and/or facilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
