Medical Assistant Dermatology Specialist
About the Role:We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Intermountain Healthcare. As a Medical Assistant Dermatology Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in an ambulatory clinic setting.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide basic clerical and office duties, including assembling documents and supplies, scheduling appointments, and maintaining medical records.
- Perform business and financial duties, such as assigning procedural coding, conducting pre-authorizations, and facilitating timely billing.
- Perform clinical functions within acceptable standards of care, including prioritizing patient needs, recognizing emergency situations, and administering screening tests.
- Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
- Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program or 1 year of Medical Assistant Experience or current RN/LPN license.
- Preferred national MA certification from one of the following: RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or CMA.
$19.20 - $27.35 per hour, depending on experience.
