Job Description

Metal Fabrication Job Summary:

  • Transform raw materials into critical components for HVAC systems by cutting, bending, and welding metal.
  • Interpret detailed technical drawings and operate various cutting-edge fabrication tools and machinery.
  • Work effectively in a team-focused environment with a passion for precision and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities:

  • Read and analyze blueprints, schematics, and designs to map out metal fabrication projects.
  • Use fabrication tools (saws, grinders, lathes, etc.) to cut, bend, and shape metal components.
  • Perform advanced welding tasks, joining metal parts using MIG, TIG, and ARC methods.
  • Assemble HVAC components, ensuring accuracy and functionality with a commitment to quality.
  • Perform thorough inspections of finished products to meet safety and quality benchmarks.
  • Keep the work area safe and organized, following all safety regulations.
  • Maintain and service fabrication tools and equipment, ensuring they are always working properly.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (certification in metal fabrication is a plus).
  • Proven experience as a fabricator or in a related role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Advanced skills in MIG, TIG, and ARC welding techniques.
  • Strong technical knowledge of metal fabrication tools and machinery.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy materials, and work in various positions.
  • Excellent attention to detail and precision in all tasks.
  • Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot fabrication issues.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and engineers.
  • Valid driver's license.
