Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Project Scheduling Specialist to join our team at Vets Hired. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the timely execution of projects by collaborating with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to outline project tasks, dependencies, and resource needs.
  • Monitoring: Track and update project-related activities while maintaining communication with field teams and home office support groups.
  • Schedule Management: Establish and regularly update baseline project schedules to reflect any changes in scope, timelines, and resources.
  • Software Proficiency: Develop and manage schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
  • Analysis: Evaluate project schedules to identify critical path activities and potential risks, proposing strategies to mitigate any deviations.
  • Reporting: Prepare comprehensive schedule reports, including critical path views and milestone tracking.
  • Progress Tracking: Coordinate with project teams to monitor adherence to schedules and address any delays or issues.
  • Subcontractor Oversight: Review and provide feedback on subcontractor schedule submissions and reports.
  • Phase Coordination: Maintain and track schedules for various project phases, ensuring alignment of milestones and resources.
  • Integration: Collaborate with project controls and cost management teams to synchronize schedule information with cost and risk management processes.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 23 years of experience in distributed generation or utility-scale solar quality assurance and control.
  • Proficient in conducting quality control inspections and generating detailed reports.
  • Strong understanding of relevant codes and standards applicable to solar projects.
  • Familiarity with safety procedures and testing equipment.
  • Willingness to travel and work on remote projects.
  • Self-motivated and able to thrive in a lean team environment.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Excellent planning and resource allocation skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities, with a focus on teamwork.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • Exceptional problem-solving capabilities.
  • OSHA 30 and CPR-First Aid certifications are preferred.
