About the Role

As a Program Technician II in the Department of Justice, you will play a crucial role in reviewing and analyzing complex document submissions. Your expertise will be essential in performing varied technical functions involving the receipt, distribution, and electronic scanning of criminal and applicant documents for processing by the department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze complex document submissions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform technical functions involving the receipt, distribution, and electronic scanning of criminal and applicant documents.
  • Process associated applicant fingerprint fees and verify that appropriate fees are included.
  • Responsible for processing complex documents for entry into the Automated Archive System (AAS).
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have extensive knowledge of various state statutes under which client agencies are authorized to submit summary criminal record repository documents and multiple Departmental programs. You should also possess an understanding of the work flow of both automated and manual fingerprint processes within the department.

Working Conditions

This position is eligible for telework up to 1 day a week and requires occasional travel to designated offices. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment. A fingerprint check is required prior to employment.

Salary Information

The estimated salary range for this position is between $73,000 and $92,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This estimate is based on national averages and may vary depending on location and other factors.
