Position Overview:

We are in search of a dynamic individual with a strong vision, passion, and expertise in the cannabis sector. The Assistant General Manager will play a crucial role in supporting the General Manager to enhance and execute our dispensary's retail operations. This position involves shared responsibility for the daily management of the retail environment, including oversight of staff, customer engagement, and sales strategies. The Assistant General Manager will collaborate with frontline staff to assign tasks, interact with customers to assess their needs, and provide insights about our products and services while offering tailored recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Guide and mentor staff regularly to uphold the dispensary's standards in sales and service.
  • Foster a collaborative environment by working closely with the management team, setting priorities, and providing clear guidance to all employees.
  • Motivate and lead internal staff to achieve exceptional customer service.
  • Assist the Inventory Manager and General Manager in ensuring accurate and diligent receipt of all deliveries, adhering to company policies and state regulations.
  • Support the cash audit process on a nightly and monthly basis, including counting drawers, making bank deposits, and managing change orders.
  • Monitor various sales metrics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Oversee employee scheduling and attendance records.
  • Document employee disciplinary actions related to attendance, drawer discrepancies, and inventory issues.
  • Contribute to employee training and performance reviews in accordance with company procedures.
  • Participate in conducting nightly and monthly inventory audits to prevent inventory diversion and address discrepancies effectively.
  • Maintain comprehensive records for all necessary documentation, including delivery and inventory manifests, as well as nightly and weekly inventory counts.
  • Establish and maintain a strong, professional relationship with corporate staff.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by upper management.
Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with POS and cash-handling systems is required.
  • Familiarity with METRC, FlowHub, Dutchie, or other cannabis seed-to-sale systems is highly preferred.
  • Proficient in Google Suite, including Sheets and Gmail.
  • Basic understanding of the cannabis plant and its effects on the endocannabinoid system, or a willingness to learn.
Requirements:
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Experience in the cannabis industry is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of managerial experience is preferred.
  • At least 2 years of retail experience is preferred.
  • Availability for full-time work (45 hours per week) with a flexible schedule.
  • Evening and weekend availability is required.
  • Comfortable engaging with the public.
  • Able to sit, stand, squat, kneel, bend, or walk throughout the workday.
  • Capable of lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 40 lbs.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Starting salary of $45,000 per year (negotiable based on experience).
  • Employee discount of 25% on store purchases.
  • Comprehensive benefits package after 90 days, including medical, dental, vision, and paid time off.
Work Schedule:
  • 10-hour and 8-hour shifts available.
  • Day, evening, and morning shifts.
  • Workdays may include Monday to Friday, rotating weekends, and weekend availability.
Experience Level:
  • 3 years of management experience (required).
  • 2 years of retail experience (required).
