Job Summary

MEMCO is seeking a highly skilled Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounts payable, including processing invoices, reconciling statements, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, verify, process and submit invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports
  • Verify accuracy of invoices and resolve any discrepancies
  • Code and enter invoices into the accounting system
  • Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any billing issues
  • Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions
  • Assist with month-end closing activities
  • Generate various reports related to accounts payable as needed
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely payment of invoices
  • Set up new vendors in Quickbooks
  • Request W-9's and send out tax exemptions for new Vendor set ups

Requirements:

  • Highly Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Strong understanding of debits and credits
  • Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies
  • Quickbooks Experience
  • Some payables experience in construction
