The Security Officer at BayCare Health System is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of patients, visitors, and team members within our Winter Haven Hospital facility. This role involves performing general safety and security duties, including patrol and detection services, assisting customers, and responding to emergencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patrol and detect potential security threats
  • Assist patients, visitors, and team members with their needs
  • Respond to emergencies and intervene as necessary
  • Monitor security systems and cameras to ensure team member, patient, and visitor safety
  • Complete communication and documentation tools as required
  • Conduct weapons screening in accordance with hospital policies

Requirements:

  • Certifications and Licensures:
    • Driver's License (State of Florida)
    • IAHSS (Security) within 1 year
    • Security D within 90 days
    • Preferred: FDLE (Law Enforcement)
  • Education:
    • High School or Equivalent
    • Preferred: Associate's in Related Field
  • Experience:
    • 1 year Customer Service
    • Preferred: 2 years Security
    • Preferred: 1 year Healthcare in related field
    • Preferred: 1 year in Hospital related field

Location: Winter Haven, FL

Shift Hours: Varies

Weekend Work: Every
