Key Responsibilities
  • Breakfast Buffet Management
    • Set up and break down the breakfast buffet area, ensuring all items are well-stocked and visually appealing.
    • Maintain the safety and appearance of the buffet area, including cleaning and sanitizing surfaces and equipment.
  • Customer Service
    • Provide personalized and friendly service to every guest, responding to their needs and requests in a timely and professional manner.
    • Assist guests with special food orders or needs, and relay their requests to the kitchen staff.
  • Food Preparation and Presentation
    • Prepare and present breakfast foods, including fruits, breads, cereals, and bakery items.
    • Restock food products throughout the shift as needed, ensuring that all items are fresh and of high quality.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance
    • Clean and sanitize the buffet area, including tables, counters, and equipment.
    • Restock bar, replenish pantry, and clean counters, tables, utensils, and kitchen at the end of shift.
  • Additional Responsibilities
    • Manage the presentation of tableware, ensuring that it is accessible and appealing to guests.
    • Monitor cleanliness and proper sanitization of tables, stations, and service areas.
    • Obtain feedback from guests and effectively resolve any customer complaints or issues.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Previous experience in a food service or hospitality role preferred.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
    • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
    • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
  • Work Environment
    • Work in a hotel environment with frequent exposure to food, cleaning chemicals, and other hazards.
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
