Licensed Vocational Nurse

As a Licensed Vocational Nurse with ResCare Community Living, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate care to individuals in need. Our team of dedicated clinicians is passionate about making a difference in people's lives, and we are seeking a skilled LVN to join our ranks.
Responsibilities
Provide one-on-one care to clients, following their individualized plans of care and promoting their dignity and independence.
Monitor clients' vital statistics and report any abnormal findings to the case manager and physician.
Administer medications, feedings, oxygen, and ostomy care as needed, and document the results of these interventions.
Complete routines established by other care professionals, such as physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech therapists.
Ensure infection control policies are maintained at all times, and report any possible communicable diseases or infections to the appropriate authorities.
Accurately document nursing actions, communicate with family members, case managers, and physicians, and document progress and outcomes for established goals.
Order supplies, medications, and feedings as needed to ensure adequate amounts are on hand at all times.
Ensure all patient needs are being met in accordance with the instructions of the physician.
Monitor incidents involving individuals, complete incident reports in a timely and accurate manner, and inform case managers of any incidents.
Ensure all medical equipment is maintained and report any faulty equipment to the Durable Medical Equipment department for repair.
Qualifications
Proof of current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse in good standing from the state(s) of practice.
Current Cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification.
Ability to work in a home-like setting.
Ability to bend, stoop, push, pull, sit, and walk for periods of time.
Ability to utilize proper body mechanics while lifting 50 pounds.
Knowledge of individual service plans, including understanding of client rights and health needs.
Must have completed post-secondary coursework to facilitate licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse.
