Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team at BrightSpring Health Services. As an LVN, you will provide high-quality patient care in a variety of settings, including home health, hospice, and residential care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one care to clients, following their individualized plans of care and maintaining their dignity and independence.
  • Monitor clients' vital statistics and report any abnormal findings to the case manager and physician.
  • Administer medications, feedings, oxygen, and ostomy care as needed, and document the results of these interventions.
  • Complete routines established by other care professionals, such as physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech therapists.
  • Ensure infection control policies are maintained at all times, and report any possible communicable diseases or infections.
  • Accurately document nursing actions and communicate with family, case managers, and physicians.
  • Order supplies, medications, and feedings as needed to ensure adequate amounts are on hand.
  • Monitor incidents involving individuals and ensure incident reports are completed timely and accurately.
  • Ensure all medical equipment is maintained and report any faulty equipment to the Durable Medical Equipment department for repair.

Qualifications

  • Proof of current licensure as an LVN in good standing from the state(s) of practice.
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
  • Ability to work in a home-like setting.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, push, pull, sit, and walk for periods of time.
  • Able to utilize proper body mechanics while lifting 50 pounds.
  • Knowledge of individual service plans, including understanding of client rights and health needs.
