About the Role

The Catering Manager is responsible for managing catering events, training staff, and maintaining client relationships. This individual will work closely with the Chef to create menus and ensure that all events run smoothly. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate catering events, including setup, execution, and breakdown
  • Develop and implement menu plans with the Chef, taking into account student preferences and dietary needs
  • Train and supervise catering staff, providing feedback and guidance as needed
  • Monitor labor and food costs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing cost-saving measures
  • Maintain positive relationships with clients, responding promptly to their needs and concerns

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should have a bachelor's degree in hospitality or a related field and 2-3 years of catering experience. You should also have excellent communication and leadership skills, as well as proficiency in MS Office products and internet skills.

Salary Estimate: $58,000 - $68,000 per year
