We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Correctional Health Services team. As a Staff Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care to individuals in our correctional facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and monitoring patient conditions.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Assess patient needs and provide education on health maintenance and disease prevention.
- Coordinate nursing care activities, including admissions, sick calls, and unit rounds.
- Supervise and direct less-skilled nursing personnel, as needed.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York.
- Baccalaureate degree in nursing, preferred.
- Minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience, preferably in medical/surgical, behavioral health, or correctional health nursing.
- Basic Life Support Certification, required; ACLS, preferred.
This position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods. Fine motor skills and visual acuity are also essential.
Salary and BenefitsThe salary for this position is $100,750 per year, with a salary unit of yearly. Benefits include health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
