The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our team. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for providing support to our engineering department, diagnosing and providing service and repairs to hotel equipment, and responding to inquiries and problems in an efficient, courteous, and professional manner.

Responsibilities
  • Implement and handle preventative maintenance of all equipment and update appropriate logs.
  • Diagnose and handle all repairs of equipment, including motors, starters, breakers, chillers, and associated equipment throughout the entire building.
  • Comply with Four Seasons rules and standards of conduct as set forth in EmPact.
  • Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
  • Respond to contractor and service calls regarding maintenance of rooms and equipment in rooms or public areas in a timely manner.
  • Respond to all emergency conditions, such as fires, power failures, etc.
  • Clean all stations in Engineering, grease traps, plumbing stoppages, and maintain an organized department and hotel.
  • Install or relocate any additional equipment or existing equipment when necessary.
  • Assist with energy conservation programs in the hotel.
  • Install electrical and mechanical systems for renovations, outlet additions, and associated equipment and provide electrical set-ups for exhibits, including maintenance of those set-ups.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Completion of high school education or equivalent experience.
  • Experience of 1-2 years of related work with Four Seasons or other organizations.
  • Possess working technical knowledge of general building maintenance. Working knowledge is generally learned on the job or through a series of professional certifications.
  • Ability to operate computer equipment.
  • A sincere willingness to provide service to residents, guests, and peers.
  • Good organizational skills, with the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to function well under pressure, set priorities, and adjust to changing conditions.
  • High work ethic, with a sense of responsibility for the role filled within our team.
  • A successful candidate will have a flexible schedule, ability to work weekends and holidays. Must be fluent in English and possess legal work authorization in the United States.
