Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Anesthesia Technician to join our team at Houston Methodist. As an Anesthesia Technician, you will play a critical role in providing support to our anesthesia providers and other members of the interprofessional healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with anesthesia-related procedures, including setup, operation, and maintenance of anesthesia equipment.
  • Provide technical support to anesthesia providers, including troubleshooting equipment and ensuring proper functioning of anesthesia systems.
  • Collaborate with the interprofessional healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care, including communication and reporting of pertinent patient information.
  • Conduct routine cleaning and disinfection of equipment and work areas to maintain a safe and clean environment.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to identify and address areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; one year of hospital experience preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Certified Anesthesia Tech (CAT) certification preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work collaboratively with healthcare team members.
  • Basic computer knowledge and proficiency in hospital systems and Microsoft Office products.
