We are seeking a highly skilled Art Handling Specialist II - Non CDL Driver to join our team at Crozier Fine Arts, a division of Iron Mountain Inc. As an Art Transportation Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe handling and transportation of artworks to their destinations.
Key Responsibilities- Artwork Installation and De-Installation: Professionally install and de-install artwork in museums, galleries, private estates, and institutions.
- Packing and Crating: Professionally pack and crate artwork using industry-standard techniques and materials.
- Artwork Handling and Movement: Handle and move artworks, including wrapping, packing, and crating using appropriate techniques and tools.
- Team Leadership: Lead a team, providing guidance and coaching during projects.
- Liaison and Communication: Act as liaison while onsite between clients and company management, ensuring clear communication and coordination.
- Project Strategy and Planning: Determine strategy for projects, particularly when senior staff are not onsite.
- Vehicle Operation and Safety: Safely operate company vehicle; transport art to their destinations, ensuring the safety of all items during transit.
- Education: Minimum: high school diploma. Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
- Experience: 1-2 years experience within the fine arts transportation or specialized removals industry.
- Industry Knowledge: Industry-standard packing, crating, and installation techniques and materials.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication with clients and coworkers, with a focus on discretion and follow-through.
- Physical Demands: Lift and move heavy objects (in excess of 75 lbs), bend, kneel, crouch, stand.
- Driver Qualifications: Ability to safely operate 26-ft box truck, at minimum; valid driver's license; clean/clear driving record with ability to pass all driving checks.
