Description 2: Dental Assistant Role Summary

Salary Range: $16-$18 per hour, based on experience and location.

The Dental Assistant works closely with dentists to deliver high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include preparing treatment rooms, instruments, and materials, as well as supporting dental providers during procedures. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with patients.

Main Responsibilities
  • Schedule patient appointments, accommodating potential conflicts.
  • Prepare dental materials and equipment for scheduled treatments.
  • Function as a treatment coordinator, presenting treatment plans to patients.
  • Maintain dental instruments, supplies, and equipment inventory.
  • Assist with patient management during dental procedures.
  • Support team members and pods proactively.
  • Complete instrument cleaning and sterilization tasks.
  • Collect and record patient health history.
  • Attend and participate in internal meetings and complete required training.

Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • General Dentistry knowledge.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Basic computer skills, including dental software and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Dependability, initiative, and punctuality.
  • Discretion when handling confidential patient information.
