About the Role">

A-Line Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced Medical Scheduler - Oncology Specialist to join a leading oncology practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and organizational skills, with a minimum of three years of medical office scheduling experience.



Job Summary:">

The Scheduling Coordinator for Cancer Care will play a key role in managing and coordinating patient appointments within a busy oncology practice. This individual will be responsible for maintaining physician schedules, handling patient referrals, and ensuring seamless communication between medical staff and patients.



Responsibilities:">
  • Answers all incoming calls; assesses callers' needs and directs them to the appropriate personnel.
  • Schedules new patients and return appointments in the computer system following office guidelines.
  • Cancels or reschedules appointments as needed based on physician changes and notifies appropriate personnel.
  • Manages and enters authorization and referral documentation into patients' charts and computer systems.
  • Maintains physician schedules, including on-call, vacations, and meetings.
  • Schedules outpatient appointments, testing, and hospital admissions.
  • Gathers necessary pre-certifications for patient appointments.
  • Handles new patient referrals, gathers necessary information, assigns account numbers, and schedules appointments.


Requirements:">
  • Minimum of three years of medical office scheduling experience.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience handling medical referrals, patient scheduling, and insurance coordination is highly preferred.


Salary and Benefits:">

The estimated salary for this role is $19.00 - $22.00 per hour, with opportunities for benefits and professional growth within A-Line Staffing Solutions.
