Key Responsibilities- Support the mission, vision, and values of Destination Pet, LLC.
- Sanitize and disinfect pet enclosures and general boarding areas to maintain a clean and healthy environment.
- Provide clean bedding and fresh water to each pet guest, ensuring their comfort and happiness.
- Prepare and serve meals to our pet guests, ensuring they receive the correct type and quantity of food.
- Monitor and accurately chart the consumption and elimination of each pet guest, reporting any issues to the General Manager or Assistant Manager.
- Conduct regular visual checks on pet guests to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Remove pet waste from enclosures and other areas as needed, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
- Monitor and maintain pet belongings, cleaning them as needed and ensuring their safe return to owners.
- Maintain and clean food preparation areas, adhering to high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Perform daily laundering of pet bedding and towels, ensuring they are clean and fresh for our guests.
- Must be a passionate animal lover, with a genuine interest in providing exceptional care to our furry friends.
- Previous experience in animal care or kennel work is preferred, but not required.
- Displays a professional manner at all times, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds frequently, with the ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs throughout the shift.
- Must be able to handle dogs on leashes, with a calm and confident demeanor.
- Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to disinfectant/sanitation chemicals, animal dander, and excretions.
- Part-time health insurance, mental health support, and telehealth services.
- A competitive hourly rate of $13.50-$15.00, depending on experience.
- A dynamic and supportive work environment, with opportunities for growth and development.
