Role Overview:
As a Systems Safety Specialist, you will be integral to ensuring the safety and reliability of our systems. Your expertise will guide the safety assessment processes, adhering to industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct comprehensive safety evaluations in line with ARP4761 and military standards such as MIL-STD-882E.
2. Develop and maintain System Safety Program Plans (SSPPs) to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
3. Perform Functional Hazard Assessments (FHAs) and Preliminary System Safety Assessments (PSSAs) to identify potential risks.
4. Execute System Safety Assessments (SSAs) and Fault Tree Analysis (FTAs) to analyze system failures.
5. Carry out Common Mode Analyses (CMAs) to evaluate interdependencies within systems.
6. Collaborate with engineering teams to define and integrate safety requirements throughout the development lifecycle.
7. Review and assess design documentation for safety-critical components.
8. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior safety engineers, fostering their professional growth.
9. Engage with clients, stakeholders, and leadership to formulate strategic safety plans.
10. Serve as a recognized authority in avionics safety, contributing to best practices and industry standards.

Qualifications:

• A degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) is required for this role.
