The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) plays a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents at Essex Meadows. As a member of our nursing team, you will be responsible for assisting licensed nursing staff with routine nursing duties and activities of daily living.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting, and exercising.
- Administer treatments, perform tests, carry out procedures, and collect specimens as instructed.
- Report and record observations and results of treatments, tests, procedures, and specimens when indicated.
- Transfer, transport, and escort residents as needed.
- Respond promptly to signal lights.
- Change bed linens, make beds, and maintain a clean and orderly environment.
- Maintain safe and sanitary workstations and equipment.
- Encourage independence, attendance at activities, restorative programs, and rehabilitation.
- Attend in-service training and education sessions as assigned.
- Perform specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
- Successful completion of a State-approved geriatric nursing assistant training program.
- Prior geriatric nursing aide experience is preferred.
- Must have active C.N.A. certification in the State of Florida.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic.
- Ability to document care given.
- Competitive hourly rate of $22.50.
