- Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Teams: Work closely with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to veterans with a range of mental health needs.
- Teach and Mentor: Share your expertise with medical students, residents, and fellows to ensure the next generation of healthcare professionals is well-equipped to provide high-quality care.
- Manage Patient Care: Develop and implement treatment plans, provide crisis intervention, and document patient progress in clinical records.
- United States Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen or be eligible for citizenship.
- Medical Degree: Must hold a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree from an accredited medical school.
- Medical Licensure: Must be fully licensed to practice medicine in a state, territory, or commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
- Residency Training: Must have completed an accredited residency program in a core specialty, such as psychiatry.
- English Language Proficiency: Must be proficient in spoken and written English.
Board certification or board eligibility in psychiatric care is highly desirable.
