Community Monitor Position

We are seeking a highly motivated Community Monitor Position candidate to join our team. As a Community Monitor Position, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our facility while supporting the personal growth and development of our residents.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Enforce policies and operating procedures governing daily activities, including reading, comprehending, interpreting, and enforcing written or verbal directives.
- Work rotating shifts, including nights, holidays, and weekends, demonstrating ability to sit, walk, or stand for prolonged periods and maintain physical and mental alertness.
- Formulate and prepare accurate reports, forms, and logs using proper format, grammar, and spelling.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and practice emotional self-control when responding to incidents and interacting with clients, staff, and visitors.
- Supervise and effectively communicate with residents during meal times, work periods, classroom attendance, visitation, sleeping hours, recreation time, and other required activities.
- Ensure the overall safety, security, and welfare of staff, residents, visitors, volunteers, and the surrounding community by conducting daily inspections of the housing areas.
- Control contraband through frequent patrols and visual and manual searches of persons and living quarters.
- Record and report maintenance problems, collect client monies, and conduct intake on new residents.
- Attend all staff meetings and trainings as required by supervisors and policy.
Requirements:
- Washington state driver's license
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to participate in our Drug Free workplace program
- Ability to pass a background check
