Job Summary

The Mental Health Professional II is a key member of our interdisciplinary team, providing exceptional patient-focused care by delivering supervised mental health services to patients and their loved ones. This role requires a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling or a related field, with a focus on providing evidence-based interventions in one-on-one, family, and group therapy sessions.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct one-on-one, group, and family psychoeducational and process groups
  • Develop treatment plans and attend treatment planning meetings and reviews on an ongoing basis
  • Assess environment and patient's safety status and report/respond to actual and potential safety issues or changes in the patient's condition
  • Identify risk factors, screening criteria, and interventions for patients with special precautions (e.g., suicide, homicide, falls, elopement)
  • Complete assessments, group notes, and all other documentation promptly and in compliance with requirements, as appropriate to scope
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to assess and coordinate patients' discharge planning needs and readiness for discharge
  • Conduct post-discharge follow-up as indicated
Requirements
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
  • Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling or a related field
