Job Summary:

The University of West Florida is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Therapist to join our team. As a Sr Licensed Mental Health Counselor I, you will provide individual, couples, and group psychotherapy, consultation, crisis evaluation, and services to our diverse student community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual, couples, and group psychotherapy and assessment for a diverse student community with a broad range of psychopathology.
  • Provide outreach to the campus community and train and consult with university personnel.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation for after-hours emergency/crisis situations.

Requirements:

  • Must be a licensed mental health counselor in the State of Florida.
  • Must have a master's degree in mental health counseling, guidance, psychology, or rehabilitation counseling at a college or university.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated record of successful performance in and commitment to the practice of psychotherapy with both individuals and groups.
  • Ability and interest in providing clinical supervision and training.
  • Experience working in a University Counseling Center.
  • Experience initiating and developing outreach programs for both the general student body and targeted underserved groups.
