About Duke University Hospital

Duke University Hospital is the largest of our three hospitals, equipped with 1,048 patient beds, 65 operating rooms, and a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic services, including a regional emergency/trauma center and an endo-surgery center.

Position Overview

As a Registered Nurse, you will independently plan and deliver professional nursing care to patients in accordance with the North Carolina Board of Nursing regulations and established protocols. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing patient needs and developing individualized care plans based on clinical evaluations.
  • Supervising and documenting nursing care while collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
  • Participating in your professional development and contributing to the training of new staff.
  • Engaging in performance improvement initiatives to enhance clinical outcomes.

Qualifications

To qualify for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A graduation certificate from an accredited Associate's Degree in Nursing or a Nursing Diploma program.
  • A minimum of twelve months of relevant clinical experience, with potential for promotion based on performance.
  • A current or compact RN license in North Carolina and BLS certification.
