About the Role

Herzing University is seeking a highly qualified Dental Hygiene Educator to join our faculty team. As a key member of our academic community, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality education to our students, fostering a supportive learning environment, and contributing to the growth and development of our programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver engaging curriculum, ensuring alignment with program outcomes and accreditation standards.
  • Provide exceptional instruction, guidance, and mentorship to students, promoting their academic success and professional growth.
  • Stay current with industry developments, best practices, and research in dental hygiene, incorporating this knowledge into your teaching and program development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement curriculum, assessments, and program evaluations.
  • Participate in faculty development opportunities, staying up-to-date with teaching methodologies, technology integration, and assessment techniques.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of program policies, procedures, and accreditation standards.
  • Engage in student recruitment, retention, and advising, promoting a positive student experience.
  • Participate in departmental and university-wide committees, contributing to the growth and development of our academic community.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in dental hygiene or a related field.
  • Active Minnesota dental hygiene license.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • 2-3 years of clinical experience in dental hygiene.
  • Previous teaching experience is preferred.
