Job Summary:

Eastern Nephrology Associates, PLLC is seeking a skilled Health Information Management Specialist II to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of patient medical records, while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Form completion and processing of release of information requests
Review, edit, and index paper and electronic documents
Work queues and other duties as assigned

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent
3 years of experience in a medical record department or other medical office setting
Valid driver's license for reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of human anatomy and medical terminology
Knowledge of HIPAA, HITECH, and other privacy and compliance requirements
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and electronic medical records systems

Work Environment:

The Health Information Management Specialist II will work in a typical interior/office setting, with moderate noise levels. The position requires the ability to work overtime hours as needed to accomplish the mission of the organization.
