Job Title: Administrative Specialist II

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Specialist II to join our team at the State of South Carolina. As a key member of our administrative staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our front office operations.

Job Summary:

The Administrative Specialist II will perform a variety of administrative duties, including scheduling appointments, managing patient files, and providing excellent customer service to our patients and staff. This is a full-time position that requires a high school diploma or equivalent and one year of clerical experience or an associate degree in secretarial science or a related field.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support to the front office team, including scheduling appointments and managing patient files.
  • Respond to patient and staff correspondence in a timely and professional manner.
  • Perform cashier duties and collect fees as needed.
  • Update patient files with demographic, financial, and guarantor information.
  • Schedule and reschedule appointments for PRISMA resident psychiatrists.
  • Provide coverage for administrative areas as needed.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of clerical experience or an associate degree in secretarial science or a related field.
