Job Title: Curriculum Development Specialist

Job Summary:

Savvas Learning Company is seeking a highly skilled Curriculum Development Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our sales and services team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with teachers and administrators to share expertise in Savvas offerings, pedagogy, and the competitive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Expert Sales Presentations: Develop and deliver expert sales presentations to key customer touchpoints, including exhibits, conferences, workshops, campaigns, caravans, pilots, and sales presentations.
  • Professional Development Training: Deliver expert professional development training to support new customers, ensuring a top customer experience once a partnership has been reached.
  • Relationship Building: Develop relationships with key K-12 decision makers, with a particular emphasis on dual language, biliteracy education pedagogy.
  • Customer Feedback: Provide customer feedback to services, sales, product, and marketing teams.
  • Content and Pedagogical Expertise: Maintain content and pedagogical expertise while regularly updating knowledge through up-to-date research and trends in education markets.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with Savvas Learning Company leaders to help create internal training plans to help teams sell and service with the dual language, biliteracy educator in mind.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 5+ years minimum experience as a Bilingual self-contained (K-5) classroom teacher preferred.
  • Education: B.S. or B.A., Masters Degree preferred.
  • Certifications: Certified Bilingual Educator, Degree in Bilingual Education highly desirable.
  • Language Skills: Proficient Spanish Speaker. Ability to speak, read, write, and present in Spanish.
  • Understanding of Literacy Education: Understanding of literacy education foundations in both languages.
  • Deep Understanding of Bilingual Education: Deep understanding of bilingual education programming and models.

Travel Requirements: Travel within the territory will be required.
