Job Overview

Chronos Aviation is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Avionics Systems Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical avionics systems for our aircraft.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical oversight and approval of engineering drawings to ensure technical completeness, clarity, and conformance with standards.
  • Develop and create technical data packages, including structural-electrical-avionics systems drawings, electromagnetic compatibility test procedures/reports, and system ground test procedures/reports.
  • Author and process engineering change notices, and review certification documents and instructions for continued airworthiness.
  • Work with vendors and suppliers to communicate project needs and initiate parts ordering processes.
  • Provide technical support for existing projects and customer requests/inquiries.
  • Manage internal and external engineering projects and programs.
Requirements
  • Working knowledge of FAA Title 14 Regulations and associated requirements.
  • Experience with FAA STC development and certification process.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to travel and support the installation and testing of systems.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Must be able to pass a drug test.
Preferred Skills
  • Working knowledge of and ability to create new drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
  • Assist in the development of project bids and quoting.
  • Hands-on technical experience with general hand tools and standard aviation test equipment.
