Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing fluid and gas systems in our WTP process facilities. This includes preparing technical reports, studies, and design documentation, as well as developing design documents, including piping and instrument diagrams and equipment data sheets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Designing fluid and gas systems in WTP process facilities
  • Preparing technical reports, studies, and design documentation
  • Developing design documents, including piping and instrument diagrams and equipment data sheets
  • Interfacing and coordinating with other engineering disciplines and the client
  • Collecting process, safety, and other requirements for fluid process or support systems and designing the system and specifying the equipment to meet applicable requirements
  • Supporting the associated safety analyses and hazards evaluations
  • Excellent communication skills, promoting our leadership, quality, and safety values, to external partners including vendors, construction companies, and other subcontractors
Requirements:
  • BS degree in Mechanical, Nuclear, or Chemical Engineering from an accredited university or college
  • 3 years related experience
  • Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical (if located at the construction site), and background check which includes verification of employment and education
  • Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy badge for access to the Hanford Site
  • US Citizenship Required
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Engineer-in-Training or PE License in Mechanical, Chemical, or Nuclear Engineering
  • Experience in working with procedures meeting quality assurance programs such as ASME-NQU-1, MIL-Q-9858A, or ISO-9000
  • Prior experience working with Government agencies, preferably DOE or DOD
