Job Summary

DBSI Services is seeking a highly skilled Corrosion Engineer to join our team as an Asset Integrity Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing critical asset assessments, developing corrosion control documents, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Asset Criticality Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments to identify assets requiring review for Risk-Based Inspection (RBI).
  • Corrosion Loop Development: Develop and implement corrosion loops, including inspection drawing preparation with CMLs and TMLs.
  • Inspection Standards: Ensure compliance with ASME design standards for fixed equipment and API-510, 570, 580, 581 inspection standards.
  • NDT Techniques: Apply NDT techniques and understand their applicability to asset/component inspection.
  • Damage Mechanism Understanding: Possess expert-level knowledge of damage mechanisms and their applicability to assets/components, considering metallurgy and process.
  • Corrosion Control Document Development: Develop Corrosion Control Documents based on API RP 970.
  • Integrity Data Management: Manage corrosion-related data and deliverables, including Corrosion Systems, Circuitization, API RBI, Risk Review, and Inspection Planning.
  • Client Facilitation: Facilitate Corrosion Review, Risk Review, and Inspection Planning Review sessions with clients.
  • PCMS Experience: Possess hands-on experience working with the backend and frontend of PCMS - Asset Integrity Module.
  • Deliverable Review: Review all deliverables to ensure corrosion processes and principles are applied to client standards and best practices.
  • Team Guidance: Provide guidance to team members to ensure corrosion risks, damage mechanisms, and safety are considered in all efforts.
  • Data Collection: Collect and ensure all process-related data used in Risk Results are current and accurate.
  • Damage Mechanism Application: Ensure assigned damage mechanisms provided by the Corrosion SME are correctly applied in the RBI calculator.
Requirements
  • Education: Engineering degree or high school diploma/GED in Mechanical/Metallurgy.
  • Experience: Minimum 12-15 years of refinery experience as a corrosion engineer employed by an owner-operator company as a Corrosion/Materials engineer in a refinery.
  • Skills: Possess a good understanding of Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI) and NDE techniques and applications (UT, RT, PT, AUT, PAUT, RTR).
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Review and Interpretation: Experience reviewing and interpreting job/project packages (P&IDs, equipment drawings, engineering drawings, etc.).
