Program Overview:

The Clark Advancement Leadership Program offers a unique opportunity that merges full-time employment within the Advancement team with an embedded Executive Certificate in Philanthropic Fundraising.

Participants in this program will be provided with clearly defined objectives and performance indicators, essential for guiding their professional development and ensuring alignment with the overarching goals of the Advancement team.

This initiative invites individuals to join a dynamic community committed to making a meaningful impact in the realm of philanthropy. Participants will acquire invaluable skills and knowledge while becoming part of a network dedicated to transformative change.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a frontline fundraiser responsible for the retention, upgrade, and solicitation of annual donors contributing $2,000 and above.
  • Collaborate with leadership on the development of print and digital fundraising appeals.
  • Play a significant role in solicitations during annual campaigns and giving events.
  • Maintain accurate records of prospect outreach and produce timely contact reports.
  • Assist in managing reunion classes and key volunteer groups.
  • Monitor trends in annual giving donor activity, focusing on retention and upgrades.
  • Perform additional duties related to the Advancement team as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Two to three years of fundraising experience, preferably in higher education.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven success in soliciting gifts for an annual fund.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends, as well as travel within the region.
