Position Overview:

The Office of Global Engagement at Clark University is seeking applications for two instructor roles to teach a course titled "Intermediate Micro-Economics with Calculus" during the upcoming semester at our partner institution in China. These are part-time, non-tenure track positions that may be renewed based on satisfactory performance.

As part of the faculty responsibilities, the role includes course development, classroom instruction, preparation, designated office hours, grading, and other duties typical of university-level teaching. Faculty members play a crucial role in fulfilling the university's academic mission, which is to equip students to navigate the complexities of a rapidly evolving society. The teaching load for this position consists of one course with three sections, totaling 18 contact hours per week.

Qualifications:
  • Applicants should possess an MA in a relevant discipline (PhD preferred) or hold an appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or higher, with a minimum of three years of teaching experience in higher education.
  • Willingness to relocate for a minimum duration is required.
  • Experience in curriculum design, course objective development, and student learning assessment is essential.
  • Compliance with the policies and teaching requirements of the partner university is mandatory, including the submission of a class syllabus, final exam versions, grading sheets, teaching plans, and grade distribution analysis.
