Position Summary:
The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) operates within the UPHS professional practice framework and embodies the core values of UPHS, reflecting its mission. Utilizing specialized knowledge, the CNE develops, implements, and assesses practice standards aimed at enhancing the quality of care provided to individuals, families, and communities.

This role is a clinical leadership position that encompasses patient care, consultation, research application, and education, all aimed at maintaining practice standards, fostering professional growth, and influencing nursing practices within the organization.

The CNE plays a crucial role in supporting organizational objectives, particularly in implementing initiatives that integrate evidence-based practices, professional standards, and organizational strategies. The CNE adeptly reframes clinical challenges to highlight their implications, enabling various stakeholders to address and incorporate these concerns into practice modifications.

A key aspect of the CNE's role is managing complex patient-family dynamics. As a clinical leader, the CNE serves as a vital link to facilitate communication and negotiation among diverse perspectives within the organization, advocating for positive change and ethical care delivery.

The CNE's leadership approach is characterized by moral agency, collaboratively addressing ethical dilemmas to ensure the provision of exemplary care. The CNE maintains a presence that addresses immediate patient and family needs while empowering others to navigate clinical situations effectively.

The CNE engages with staff in a manner that acknowledges their developmental needs, promoting understanding of issues and encouraging reflective practice.

Registered Nurse - PA (Required)
Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required)
BSN (Required)
MSN or in pursuit (preferred)
Operating Room experience (preferred)
