Job Summary:

The Perioperative Support Education Coordinator will provide comprehensive and consistent instructional courses to new non-nursing staff of Perioperative services. This role requires effective communication skills, proficiency with data analysis, and proficiency with Microsoft software. The incumbent must be self-motivated, concise, accurate, and on time with assignments. The role requires an individual to be flexible, a clear communicator, to accept ad hoc assignments, and to learn new skills quickly.

Responsibilities:

Provide orientation to new non-nursing staff of Perioperative services
Develop and conduct training sessions for healthcare support staff
Develop written instructions for various educational abilities
Participate in Perioperative Safety Net and Quality Committees

Requirements:

Effective communication skills, verbal and written
Proficiency with analyzing large sources of data and data from multiple sources
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other software
Emotional intelligence and maturity
Flexibility with work hours to meet the demands of 24/7 department

Credentials:

Cert Anesthesia Tchn

Education:

Associate of Arts or Science (Required)

Or 5+ years Equivalent experience with the assigned roles and responsibilities.
