Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Scrub Technician to join our team at Animas Surgical Hospital, LLC. As a key member of our operating room team, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and efficient sterile field, ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare the operating suite and sterile field for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and instruments are available and functioning properly.
  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during procedures, providing support and maintaining a safe and efficient environment.
  • Monitor and maintain aseptic technique, infection control, and universal precautions guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest surgical techniques and technologies.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; completion of accredited school of surgical technology or equivalent clinical surgery training and experience preferred.
  • Current CPR certification and DORA registration required.
  • One to three years of previous surgery experience in at least two specialty areas preferred.

Working Conditions

This position requires lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling up to 50 pounds, as well as standing and walking for extended periods. Visual acuity is required to distinguish skin tone variations, evidence of IV infiltration, infection, and to read telemetry, blood pressure gauges, etc. Audio acuity is required to distinguish various body sounds and to discern sounds made by machinery or equipment.

Immunizations and Vaccinations

ASH IMMUNIZATIONS AND VACCINATIONS REQUIREMENTS – Aligns with CDC's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) for Healthcare Personnel. Hepatitis B, influenza, measles, mumps, and rubella, varicella, tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis, and tuberculosis screening are required prior to the first day of scheduled work.
