Job Summary

Animas Surgical Hospital, LLC is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of the physical plant, including HVAC, electrical, steam generation/sterilization, plumbing, and mechanical systems, as well as general building maintenance and grounds keeping.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain the physical plant to ensure proper functioning of mechanical systems and safety of the environment of care.
  • Perform daily rounds of the hospital facility and rounds on and off-campus sites weekly.
  • Utilize BAS and other monitoring systems to ensure proper functioning of plant systems.
  • Proactively initiate repairs, maintenance, and cleaning, generating work orders accordingly.
  • Work independently within established procedures associated with the job function.
Requirements
  • High School diploma.
  • HVAC, electrical, plumbing training and education preferred.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Minimum 3 years Facilities Maintenance Technician experience preferred.
Working Conditions

This position requires lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling up to 50 pounds in routine material handling, stocking, and redistributions process. Arm, hand, wrist, finger coordination required to utilize tools and computer keyboard and mouse. Must be able to hear, speak, and see to perform listed duties and tasks.

Environmental hazards such as chemicals, solvents, needles, needle containers, sharps, blood, body fluids, various infectious/communicable diseases, infectious medical waste, radiation, and/or radioactive materials and/or radioactive waste, proximity to moving mechanical parts within work areas. Protective clothing/equipment may be necessary.
